මෙම වසරේ (2016) ගතවූ මාස හතේදී සිදුවූ රිය අනතුරුවලින් පුද්ගලයන් 1650 දෙනකු මරුමුවට පත්වී ඇතැයි මාර්ග ආරක්‌ෂාව පිළිබඳ ජාතික සභාව පවසයි.
ඉන් 646 දෙනකු මරුමුවට පත්වී ඇත්තේ යතුරුපැදි අනතුරුවලින් ගොස්‌ සිදුවූ අනතුරුවලිනි. ඊට අමතරව මෙම කාලයේදී පදිකයන් 459 දෙනකු රිය අනතුරු හේතුවෙන් මියගොස්‌ ඇත. එසේම මෙම කාලයේදී යතුරුපැදිකරුවන් 530 දෙනකුද, යතුරුපැදිවල පිටුපස ගමන් ගත් 116 දෙනකුද, පා-පැදිකරුවන් 141 දෙනකුද පදිකයන් 246 දෙනෙකු ද, රියෑදුරන් 137 දෙනකුද මියගොස්‌ ඇතැයිද මාර්ග ආරක්‌ෂාව පිළිබඳව ජාතික සභාව පවසයි.
